Now, the couple, whose flirtation flies in the face of the sense and sensibility of the age, is faced with a terrible dilemma. I must say I liked it. I think there were some problems with it, but overall a good movie. Hathaway's accent is very good, apart from a few tiny leaves that almost go unnoticed. The film, the person that went with it was a bit slow in places, but I do not think so. I think a director might put too little emphasis on Austen and inspiration for his novels, including Pride and Prejudice, but I do not mind too much as this is my favorite novel. The acting was all very good. MaCavoy played very well, giving a lot of energy. I thought the opening and closing were perhaps a little weak. I do not mean too much if others have not yet seen (although, of course, most people know the end, they may not know the Becoming Jane movie interpretation of it). Perhaps the only few weaknesses of the DVD film Becoming Jane was perhaps the fact that Hathaway was too beautiful to play Austen, but made a very competent indeed. I think Anna Maxwell Martin might have been more appropriate? The other is that I would have liked to have seen a little faster wittedness from Jane. She is as competent, but not as fast as the court and me and, I imagine, many believe it was. However, despite this highly enjoyed the DivX Movie Becoming Jane and would not mind seeing again. Is better than Pride and Prejudice 2005, in my opinion, the adjustment. 8 / 10.

Why oh why cast Anne Hathaway as Jane Austen? The girl can not act. She has a dodgy English accent and only has two expressions, wide-eyed blankness and the other is wide eyes moist blankness. I am sure she has a squinty eye, too! Britain does not have a talented group of players who could have played the part and given that something extraordinary like Kate Winslet did in Sense and sensibility? There's an old Becoming Jane movie saying that "even before a camera is turned on, a Becoming Jane Romance movie can be ruined by lack of casting" This eloquently demonstrates the point.
