| Because I lived in Sierra Leone, in fact, in Kono, diamond mining in the country for three years, I had to see Blood Diamond as soon as he got out. It is an excellent movie. Although it was not filmed in Sierra Leone, which captures the reality of the country to a remarkable degree. There are a lot of violence in this film, but that violence is organic, realistic, appropriate to what happened there. Even manage to convey the fact that people are surprised by such violence as we are; Sierra Leone used to be one of the safest countries in the world. The film tells the facts about conflict diamonds quickly and accurately. The performance of DiCaprio is impressive, no doubt, the best I have ever seen, it's absolutely credible as a white African. Jennifer Connelly's role is much smaller, but it makes the most of it. Djiman Housou has enormous physical presence as the brave Mende fisherman. This film is just so much that the few places it departs from the reality is completely forgivable. I would recommend this movie to the entire world, is the best Hollywood movie I've seen in years. |

I hope everyone will think twice before giving as a sign of everlasting (?) Love. He is excellent. Leonardo shows some of his best works. The following is a spoiler ... Does it ever Leonardo live at the end of a movie? Beautiful scenery, great cinematography, direction. I think this movie has it all and it certainly has brought to light the plight of the African people in the hands of greedy co-operation and a greedier public. It is great to see the film shed light on an issue as serious as this. |
