| People should not intellectualise over this movie. It's very funny, actually is fun if you are a Christian, like me, because Brian is not Jesus. It is a satire on Jewish AD 30 and in many ways, its satire to see which shows that people of any time are capable of being silly. The joke is on us, we are all desperate for salvation, however, are all fools. The DVD movie Life of Brian is blasphemous, just shows that any story that is put on a pedestal and taboo comedy is ripe for profit. Religion must be able to take a joke, if not then the sky will be a boring place. |
| I had not seen this Life of Brian film in some time, however, never ceases to amaze me! I rented recently because my twin brother was having dental surgery (I took him home and spent the night at his house where nothing is needed). I thought that this Life of Brian Comedy movie will help cheer him up. We both agree that it is one of our favorites. Much has been written about whether or not this DivX film Life of Brian makes fun of Jesus. I do not think it does, and I am among those who say that really makes fun of religious fanaticism. Too much has been written about how this DVD movie Life of Brian was criticized by those who had never seen and therefore could not, as Brian says, the figure for themselves. A scene where Brian is very revealing addressed the crowd and tells them they are all different. Answer that, in unison, "Yes, we are all different ... tell us more!" But my favorite scene is still the classic Michael Palin as Pontious Pilate "Biggus Dickus" bit. I can not see this Life of Brian Comedy movie and just smile even in this scene. Still cracks me. As I said earlier, I had not seen in some time, however, during that scene I missed. I laughed so much that the tears came out of my eyes. Yes, I know it's youth! But how it plays Palin, speech impediment and all (yes, I know how non-PC) is what you do. You can see that when it starts in about a soldier, he is straining to laugh. The actor and soldier, and that people are not acting. He is a really cracking. |
| Accidentally becomes one of the best criticisms of the modern Middle East ... and I know I'm from there! I say accidentally because Monty python effort to describe things about the Middle East that are as true and accurate, but so diifcult to describe, and I do not think they're really brilliant! There is a small theater in Prague, which shows the life of Brian Free each Christmas Eve. I took my brother to see when we visit the family a couple of years ago, and laughed so much that almost went to the hospital. This Life of Brian movie contains some of the best jokes in history, and is also smart and subversive, if I could give him 11/10. LOB've been watching once a year on average for about 5 years, and I always discover new gags-I probably will see forever. |
| That is, in my opinion the best film: Life of Brian ever made religious. Monty Python's Flying Circus can do everything hilariously. Focusing on Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman), which was mistaken for the Messiah in Judea in 33 AD, the DVD movie Life of Brian makes fun of everything: Romans, Jews, imperialism, even extraterrestrials. Sardonic lines with almost every minute, played by religious fundamentalism which is nonsense. I do not even know that was my favorite scene, and each part was so funny. Never forget the song at the end. This comedy is in its largest, and it makes sense from the guys who brought us the "parrot sketch." Quite a scream. |
