| This Mad City Thriller movie gets off to a slow start. To be honest we do not create much suspense. However, they have a message about modern society. People have a fascination with the crisis and media personalities feed off that fact, like sharks in a frenzy. Situations that may lead to an escalating out of control. Dustin Hoffman stole the show as Max Brackett. A fellow viewer could not believe he was the same man who had played in Rainman. He offers a standout performance as a journalist Max Brackett that seeks to inject life into his career, but at the same time, retains a sense of compassion and justice. Battle the forces within it throughout the film. John Travolta is about money, but not stellar as Sam Bailey, a recently unemployed security guard at the top of losing everything they have. Sam is a little low-watt bulb, but it is basically a good person caught up in a very bad choice and the evil that runs their plans. It is very distressed about his situation and emerging Caffiene pills to stay awake does not help their mood very well. Travolta is not one of the best, but it is still good. What a pleasure to see Alan Alda on the front of the camera again. Kevin Hollander as he is the guy who loves to hate. Hollander is the nemesis Max Brackett and antagonist. Alda easily diverted from its sympathetic portrait of Dr. Pierce Haweye the MASH TV for it. This is not a perfect movie, but it's good. That leaves you thinking about the message you have. The acting is good. |
| MAD CITY is thrilling and exciting from the first scene. A talent-hunting success is a reporter sent by his boss to a totally interesting work: a story about a museum with financiary problems. Discomfort and defeated, the character Dustin Hoffman is there and has the opportunity to run in what will be the story of his life: a man enters the museum and taking hostages within each. The film: Mad City is smart, just because the discussion topics that can only lead to scenes intelligent. Probably the best players are MAD CITY: Hoffman and Travolta are great in their roles and to add extra value to the Mad City Thriller film by the way you act. What if you really need money to support his family and that was dismissed? To what extent are you able to go to work again? Enough to enter a museum and the owner threatened with a gun? Without a doubt. But what if you do something by mistake you can not get that from? That is the situation Travolta. What if the life that the goal of a great story that will totally change everything about you? How far can you go? Enough to play the victim's life in your hands, an organization of a live show from which virtually condemned him to death? That is the situation Hoffman. The plot grows quickly and is very convincing. And so is the only option. In this film, two lives that have been bound by an informal meeting in a museum: a reporter (Dustin Hoffman), whose career was marked by an error in a network, is trying to "resurrect" their work by a report on a financial scandal when a report sent to a museum. At the same time, a museum guard (John Travolta), fired a few days earlier because of budget cuts, are going there, trying to keep a conversation with the director and to convince their work. While the reporter is aware that it may be a resurrection for him, things run out of control when other media reporter challenged him and watch ... Besides the excellent performances by Hoffman and Travolta, Costa-Gavras once again, a very intelligent DVD movie Mad City that can not be missed. |
| Underestimated, it is safe. I was surprised by the low Rattinger IMDb this Mad City Thriller movie and also that no one had said, "you have heard about this film." I think John Travolta gives one of his best performances and Dustin Hoffman is amazing as always and a great supporting cast. Surely this film: Mad City does not have the intensity of other films with the same basic concepts, but that's what makes it unique. I find it interesting that the majority of Mad City film critic reviews of this Mad City film are not very good, I wonder if that has anything to do with its content. The DivX Movie Mad City focuses on the media and the damage they can cause, sometimes by stirring the pot or reporting news then, how you want to be seen. Therefore, the DivX film Mad City critics who are part of the media, most of this Mad City Thriller film hate, hmmm? Anyway a great Mad City film with great performances that deserve more attention and accolades he has received below. |
| Let me be the first to admit that this is not a Mad City Thriller everyone is not their primary means of Hollywood movie. However, it is a brilliant, biting satire of the media's real power in modern society. Instead of going over to the pathetic "Natural Born murderers", the Mad City movie uses black comedy, brilliant performances, and a real thrill to create one of the most intelligent and powerful social comments should be seen in the cinema years. If you expect a typical Hollywood thriller with a formula and a good plot, neat ending then was disappointed, but if you're looking for an elegant and powerful Mad City Thriller movie with brilliant performances by Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta, then I recommend this movie. At a time when events like the OJ Simpson trial of the influence of the media in our society more than evident, it is refreshing to see a Mad City Thriller movie willing to look at this issue in the face. |
