This is the story of a named Penelope, who is the victim of a curse placed on a wealthy family by a witch. After generations ago, a witch placed a curse on the Wilhern family that would result in the next girl being born into the clan having the face of a pig. The otherwise-normal girl Penelope is forced to endure life with a pig's snout instead of a conventional nose, which has sent many a potential suitor running off into the streets, shouting in terror. Eventually, she runs away from her sheltered existence and overprotective parents, to explore the world on her own. As she meets new friends and a potential lover who doesn't run away, she begins to discover happiness - while all the while her parents believe the only way she can be happy is through an arranged marriage, which will hopefully break her curse.

I saw "Penelope" in the U.S. premiered at CineVegas last week. It has a sweet message about self-acceptance that we can all use a little more these days. I loved the hyper-real, bright color, Tim Burtonesque appearance of the film, which helped to accentuate the look of story. I also thought all the performances, particularly Christina Ricci and Katherine O'Hara, were excellent. Reese Witherspoon as the use of leather, chewing gum, scooter riding messenger girl seemed a bit miscast, but it was really good and has one of the funny lines from the movie. While there is nothing to laugh out loud funny, sweet story that makes you smile again and again. I would recommend this DVD movie Penelope for audiences of all ages because I do not think it is never too old for the message and not speak to an adult audience.

I went to the movies expecting a typical kiddie movie, I left with, but with a big smile on my face too. Penelope does not really deliver much in the comedy department, but what makes the heart warming and is a strong message to learn to accept you the way they are. Ricci Chrsitna did a good job as the girl with a snout, the whole DivX film Penelope was a big deal about. James McAvoy, made an American accent was also impressive as the love interest. Reese Witherspoon shined in this movie: Penelope as a producer and as a friend of our mouth with heroin. In a general breakdown of good performance and a sweet story. The children laugh and adults can do without sleep. It is a perfect Sunday afternoon treat.

The DivX film Penelope is truthful, honest, funny and surprising. Although I do not think there is potential for an Oscar this, I think the Golden Globe awards for this. Christina Ricci in the performance of this was charming. While I was watching the movie, however, when Reese Witherspoon appeared, I was delighted! Although it was not very long, it is nice to see you in a role very different from others that she took. Honestly, I just wanted to make a comment about this curious and Reese lines. But the DivX film Penelope should be seen, is a comedy that can change the world views of what is really beautiful, and the outside does not matter.
